Here’s What Happened on the 11th Day of Trump’s Presidency

Unbelievably, Reuters/Ipsos released a poll today that says that Americans approve of Trump’s unlawful and unconstitutional travel ban by seven points. Fear-mongering works.
Events of the last few days have energized Senate Democrats, who are finally showing some spine against the authoritarians in the White House. KEEP IT UP.
Who’s calling the shots? Trump or #PresidentBannon? “As #PresidentBannon said last summer, Trump is just a “blunt instrument” and at this point it doesn’t matter if he “gets it” or not. In his new role as Trump’s Rasputin, Bannon is now in a position to literally make his dreams of destruction come true.”
As if we need anything more disturbing than what we already know: Here’s a creepy presentation from Steve Bannon that will send chills down your spine if you are not his brand of evangelical, white Christian.

Among the worst violations of the Trump-imposed immigration crisis at our airports are reports that DHS coerced green card holders to sign away their rights as legal US residents. Shameful.

Teen Vogue is becoming our go-to source for original political reporting: Here is a disturbing account of National Security Adviser and conspiracy theory fanboy General Michael Flynn meeting with a neo-Nazi leader from Austria.

Tea Party Congressman Dave Brat – who noisily defeated Eric Cantor a couple of years ago – is upset with his female constituents who he says are “up his grill” to do some town halls. What a snowflake. (Donna)

The Slow Filling of the Cabinet

Betsy Devos made it through her Senate Committee vote, split along party lines – with all Democrats voting no.

The following copy and paste has been making the rounds on Facebook:

The door is still open to oppose DeVos as Education Secretary.

The CONFIRMATION vote is still to be scheduled! Don’t give up!!

Senators are noting the large call volume into their offices…keep it up!

TAKE ACTION:
Please consider calling one of the following Republican Senators (key in the confirmation vote) to express your opinion on the appointment.

At least 3 of these need to be convinced in order to block DeVos’ nomination.
Don’t email.
Don’t tweet.
Don’t complain on Facebook.
Call them!
