Emily Cain is a rising star in Maine politics.
US House of Representatives
Maine, 2nd District
Emily Cain was elected to Maine’s state House of Representatives in 2004, when she was just 24 years old. By the time she began her successful state Senate run, she had risen to House minority leader: the youngest woman in history to achieve that honor. She is running for Congress to replace Democrat Mike Michaud, who is seeking a term Governor.
In addition to her legislative duties, Cain is working on a doctorate degree in higher education (she already has a master’s in the field from Harvard).
