Dear Cable News Blow Hards: Walk the Walk on Women or GET OUT OF THE WAY

Cable tv news pundits and others arguing over sexual assaults, rapes, and crimes that are alleged to have occurred at or near Occupy camps across the country are fixated on accusations and outrage for ratings, and the complete and utter exploitation of victims for their own political and pundit fodder and gain. They have each spent the past 24-48 hours blaming each other for which side defends women better- the left or the right, the independent, the socialist, the commie, the hippie, the tea partier, the occupier or the cable news blow hard. But where is the walk to their talk?

Apparently I’m supposed to feel better Romney built a ‘windshield’ so Seamus wasn’t smacked by the 65 mile an hour drive winds. Apparently I’m supposed to feel better that this compassionate family man didn’t really give a crap that his dog was in a carrier, on the top of the family station wagon, while the family was warm and cozy inside the car.

It all started with a smart, heated post cross-posted to the MOMocrats from Advocates for Youth (AFY), lambasting the Obama administration and the Secretary of Health and Human Services’ decision to override the FDA’s recommendation to offer Plan B as an over-the-counter drug. Plan B, of course, is known as the “day-after” pill, preventing the implantation of a fertilized egg in the womb, much as can happen randomly in any woman’s cycle without influence by any medicines.
