Yesterday, the New York Times embarked on a novel approach to covering the gun issue: Instead of focusing on gun culture, it kicked off a series of reports on the gun industry — whose response to fewer Americans participating in shooting sports was to feast on the fear and loathing of a Democratic President who the NRA paints as someone who is plotting to shut down the Second Amendment and “take away our guns.”
They have also been working hard at marketing handguns and assault weapons to children.
