Every week before we begin our podcast, we come up with a list of topics we want to cover. And the news hits us so fast that we keep forgetting things that were huge just a few days ago. So we began this week’s podcast with the Facebook data breach on tens of millions of Americans utilized by Cambridge Analytica.

But so much more has been happening

Yesterday, a serial bomber that had been terrorizing Austin detonated himself to death, and the White House said what he did had nothing to do with terrorism. In the meantime, an unarmed black man named Stephon Clark was shot 20 times by Sacramento police. His only “crime” was that he was holding a cellphone in his grandmother’s backyard. And the White House continues to roil from massive personnel changes, amid reports that the President now feels he knows what he’s doing and doesn’t need to listen to advisers.

And let’s not forget all the hell that broke loose last weekend, when FBI Deputy Director was fired at [10:00] on a Friday night – less than 48 hours before he would be eligible for his pension. “That’s just mean,” the MOMocrats said. Indeed.

MOMocrats Karoli, Aliza Worthington, and Donna Schwartz Mills discuss the week’s political news from a progressive point of view. An Engender Media Group production.
