But today’s GOP Senate filibuster of the bill to create a bipartisan commission on the January 6 insurrection is a reminder that little may be salvaged from Biden’s plans without filibuster reform. And the menacing undercurrents of the MAGA and QAnon continue to threaten the safety of everyday Americans as well as the very survival of our democracy.
