President Biden unveiled his new plan to shore up the country’s deteriorating infrastructure – and we finally understand what he meant by “Build Back Better.” The $2 Trillion bill allocates funds for fixing roads and bridges, expanding our rail network, replacing toxic water infrastructure, upgrading school structures, closing the broadband gap in underserved parts of the country, and beginning the much-needed shift to clean energy. And he proposes to pay for it by partially erasing the Trump tax cuts on wealthy people and corporations.
Like the American Rescue Plan COVID relief bill, this proposal is popular with voters – including Republican ones.
